What an amazing week it has been! Even though the weather has been insane here in Houston, TX, I couldn't be happier! First, if you read my previous post, you know my very first comic book in which I did both pencils and inks came out this weekend, and second, I set up for the very first time at Comicpalooza!
My wife and I have been to this show for the past 5 years, and this is the first time that I am set up as an artist at this show. This was the first convention I ever attended, it was the first place I met professional artists, and the first time that I started to think that maybe, just maybe I could actually work doing what I love.
Not only did I have an awesome time, but I was lucky enough to have my artwork as the cover for the Comicpalooza 2015 program, AND a print in the VIP bag! To see people walking around with my art in their hands was an indescribable feeling. And to everyone who came to the booth, to get the print or program signed, YOU ROCK!
Starting today, I will be sharing some of the commissions I worked on during the show this past weekend. I am so happy to have met so many new artists and to have been able to interact with some of the best customers ever!
Thank you to everyone who came by the booth, and I can't wait till next year!
Here is this Yoda ready to kick ass. This was one of of first commissions on the first day of the show, and I had a lot of fun with it! Also attached, some photos of the set up this weekend :)
